Wellington (Camp)

Kia ora. On Monday the 11 of November we went to Wellington for camp. We went to Wellington to learn more about NZ and to have fun. On our first day exploring wellington we went to Te papa and the zoo. Te papa was fun and interesting and the zoo was cool and fun. On Wednesday we went to Parliament. We met our tour guard named Erin and she took us into the mini debating chamber to talk about what goes on. A few minutes after that we went to walk to the otherside of Parliament which was called Parliament House. We went allowed to take photos inside of Parliament for unknown reasons. After we looked around in the Parliament house we went to go have a look in the Real Debating Chamber were all the action goes on. We asked lots of questions about what goes on in the Debating Chamber. One thing Erin told us about the debating Chamber is that Queen Elizabeth is not allowed passed the red carpet because they don’t want her to interfere with the law making. A hour later we crossed the road to The National Library to go have a look at the Original signing of The Treaty of Waitangi. But the original was getting its annual check. Every month the original suffragette form gets a rolling as it is extremely long. This way everyone who signed the paper gets a chance to be seen. After we had a rest and had lunch we went to go catch the cable cars to the cable car museum. At the cable car museum we did some fun activities one of them was making your own badge with a cable car on it. And the last one was making a machine that runs the cable car. After we did that it was time to go back to the marae. The next day was Thursday. On Thursday We went back down to the National library to see the real Treaty of Waitangi. we weren’t able to see the real Treaty on wednesday but we got to see it on Thursday. About 30 minutes later we went to the westpac stadium. We meet a man called Dave he showed us around the westpac stadium the changing rooms and the field but we weren’t allowed to go on to the field. The next activity we did was the weta workshop we had some people show us around and talk to us about some of the statues and characters. We learnt a lot about how to make things look hervey and real. We even got to look at some amazing swords and fell some of the examples of the characters they were creating. On our last activity we went to capital e. Capital e is a place where you can go to film a movie or a tv show. We chose to film a tv show. Our tv show was called eye on the hive it was about the primenaster banding the internet. We all got rolls to play or be something. After all of that it was time to go back to the marae to get ready to have dinner and go to zealandia. Unfortunately we weren't able to see kiwi but we did hear them and we saw three or two Tuatara.
