BirthDay at Greens

Ki Ora Yesterday it was our friend Shivam’s Birthday. Shivam invited the whole class to come and celebrate his birthday at greens. We had coke or sprite, Butter Chicken and rice and shivam's family brought us all these big chocolate easter eggs. Everyone had a great time at greens and everyone ate a lot of food. At the end of us eating and when we were ready to leave we did a little performance for shivam and his family to say than you.

Happy birthday Shivam.

Have you ever been to greens?

Frantical Taskmaster

Hello. In Te Ngahere we have been doing something called taskmaster. With our latest activity doing taskmaster we were learning to use communication and collaboration with our group members. For example there was at least one runner and one drawer. To explain; the runner had to try to describe a picture the teacher drew and give their information to the drawer and the drawer had to try draw the picture as close as possible to the teachers picture. It was very hard because the drawer couldn't see the picture and the runners couldn't touch the piece of paper the drawers were drawing on. The runners were so loud as they repeatedly screamed in the drawers ears until they finally gave up. This was an enjoyable and intense activity for the most of Te Ngahere. Something we could work on is having better communication with each other. We will put pictures down below. Hope you enjoy this blogpost. Have you done taskmaster?

Walk In The Ngahere

Kia ora. In Te Ngahere last week we went for a walk in the ngahere. Before we went for a walk we had to research about what we could or would possibly see in there. We researched about bugs, animals and trees. We learnt that there are plenty ferns such as king ferns which have huge leaves, silver ferns and more. After we researched we walked sensibly down the road to the Paihia School track. The first tree we were welcomed by was a great big totara tree which shaded us. As we walked further we came across a bridge and we walked all the way to the other bridge. We found so many native things like ferns, we even saw a lake. We stroked our hands down a tree which was quite fuzzy. We had a awesome time discovering new things. Something we could improve is to do more research because there were some trees we knew but we didn’t know the name of them. At the bottom there will be pictures of us in the Paihia School Track. Hope you enjoyed. Check out our own blogs down the side.

Super Swimming Sports

Last week on Wednesday a group of students from Paihia School aged around 10 - 12 got the opportunity to attend Russell Swimming Sports. Everyone boarded the ferry as they all had an anxious look running across their faces (like why wouldn’t they). As soon as everyone arrived at Russell we were getting ready. In the first division the divers went followed by the boys swimmers. Then was the girl swimmers, the swim wasn't that long but as anxious as we were our hearts were beating fairly fast. They dived into the water and off they went. The boys and other swimmers cheering them on until they got to the end. In the girls swimmers Ana came first followed by a girl from another school and Breeze came third. Paihia School didn’t stay for that long but when it was over we were so happy to know that we did well and we got a little laugh out of it too (because we found out someones pants couldn’t stay on them after they dived in). Something we could all agree on is next time be more prepared not saying who (divers). Hope you enjoyed reading about our awesome experience at the Russell Swimming Sports. Leave comments below if you would like to, make sure to check out our own blogs down the side. Hope you liked it.

Amazing Things About The Ecosystem

In Te Ngahere this week we have been learning about the ecosystem and how it works. We had to complete some work on the ecosystem and make a drawing of a  cycle of an ecosystem. We also had to make an ecosystem drawing that I enjoyed.

I learnt that if something from the ecosystem went it would not work and everything will die.

I could do more work on it  and write longer sentences  and add more punctuation. I think I have done very good with my

ecosystem. Did you like what you read
