Mind Blowing Facts About Swim Safe

Good morning/afternoon/evening bloggers. Last Thursday Tracy came into Te Ngahere and taught us about swim safe. We were learning ways to stay safe in the ocean and on boats. There are five things you need to know how to stay safe on a boat. The first thing you need to know is to put your safety first. The first step is really important to know. The second step to staying safe on a boat is to check the weather. The third is to tell someone where you are going and what time you will be back. The people you should tell are The Coastguard. The fourth thing is to take a life jacket and make sure you are wearing it at all times. If you are not wearing it on the boat you will have to make a lot of decisions, you will need to figure out what one fits you and other things like remembering where you put them. The fifth and final step is to take a waterproof phone so you are in contact with The Coastguard and others that can call someone for help if something bad happens. What I learnt is that it is important to wear life jackets at all possible times. I also learnt that Coastguards are really helpful but if you wanted to know you have to pay the cost guards. If you do not know what channel they are on they are on channel 16 and Russell Radio is channel 3. Thanks for reading.
Bye.
