Keep New Zealand beautiful week

Kia ora bloggers. A few weeks ago Te Ngahere had a beach clean up to celebrate keep New Zealand beautiful week. This was happening in most New Zealand schools. When we arrived at the beach we were able to split into groups of our choice. These were our rubbish picking groups. Some groups went up on the grass by the road and some went on the beach. We found some really interesting things while cleaning the beach and roadside for rubbish. What was really disappointing was that adults who smoke were throwing cigarette butts a few steps away from the nearest rubbish bin. It goes to show that people have no disregard for the earth.
