Ryan Not Even
We were learning about the choices authors make to create images in our mind about characters, settings and emotions. We had to find some keywords in the text, create an image and describe any of the following;, how a character may have felt, how, a character may have looked, what a character may have thought, or the setting.

What I think I did well: I think I laid out and presented my work well.
What I think I could improve on: I think I could improve my coloring, for example having background colors and other colors in my speech bubbles to help give my work a bit of color.

Way of Life by Ezra
Three small fish are swimming in the deep sea. A shady shark appears and gobbles up one of the fish. Luckily the other fish escape.
Bunnies on a Wintery Day by Ocean
The bunnies were having fun frolicking in the snow. The old man hang glider, who didn't like bunnies, swooped down and one by one grabbed the bunnies in his claw.
Super Spider Teleporter
Super Spider crawled around the garden and teleported himself to the high mountain. A tourist was taking a photo of the mountain. Nasty Super Spider photo bombed the picture.
Animal Jam Mount Shiver Disaster by Mia
Snowy lives in an icy cave in the mountains. He thinks he is safe until a pack of wolves appear when he is sliding in the ice. Luckily the leader of the pack is a kind Arctic Wolf and he encourages the wolves to leave Snowy alone.
Our first animations with Google Slides
Sarah - The Hungry Wolf
Today I have learnt how to use google slides to create an animation. First I thought about my story, then I found my background. I found my characters and put them on the first slide. Then I had to copy and paste that p slide and move the characters a little bit. I kept doing this until the wolf ate the bunny! I am now working on the writing the story from the point of view of the wolf.
Jasmine - Spiders Web
Reitu - Leap Frog
Jared - Nemo Finds a Friend
Zac - Under the Sea

Taimana's punctuation writing
WALT edit another author's writing.
WILF
I will read the writing aloud.
I will listen to how I read, when I stop I will know that I need a full stop. When I pause or find a list I will insert a comma.
Chopper
Construction
Test Drive
Crash
Do you know what a chopper is? I bet you think it is a tool for cutting. Well you’re wrong; when I
was young it was the coolest bike around. It had three gears, a banana seat, a normal size wheel on the back and a small wheel on the front. They were also very expensive, and there was no way that my parents could afford one, so my cousins and I decided to make our own.
It was quite a simple and ingenious idea we came up with to construct our own chopper, using my
2 wheeler my little sister’s 3 wheeler. My bike already had a banana seat and there was nothing we could do about giving it gears, but we could give it the look. We simply took one of the back wheels off my sister’s bike, which was smaller than my wheels and put it where my front wheel should have been
“Whoa that looks flash” said my cousin James “Giz a ride, I’ll take it for a test drive” he demanded.
I wasn’t to keen on him having the first ride, because it was my bike and all of the tamariki in the Whanau knew that James could break any toy in about 2 minutes flat. Too late, he plonked his fat bottom on the seat and was off.
“Hey come back”, I yelled as he disappeared around the corner of the house. My cousins and I were soon in pursuit. As we rounded the corner of the house we were greeted with the sight of our fat cousin sprawled on the grass, crying, and holding his leg. It seems he was unaware that when you put a small wheel on the front of a bicycle, cornering is very difficult.
In our class we have been learning how to add the correct punctuation into sentences and paragraphs. I have highlighted the ones that I didn't add in, and corrected with the marking sheet.
I think that I did full stops and capital letters really well as I didn't need to correct them with the punctuation sheet. I also think I need to work on my commas. I think I did really well on this activity and learnt a lot from it.

Reflection:
In room 8 we have been learning about placing our punctuation in the right places in a story, In this piece of writing I think I did well placing my full stops and capital letters in the right place. I think I need to improve on the use of my commas next time.

Aquilla's Train Fractions.
In our class we have been learning about train fractions. I think I have done well in this task, but next time I would like to more train fractions.
I hope you like my short slide about my train fractions.
Ryan And Te Ariki's Fraction Trains
We were learning to work out fractions by drawing them as trains. I think that we did a good job on the colors and in the amount of time we had. I think maybe next time we could put some harder equations in.
Andrew and Taimana's Trains fractions
In our class we have been learning about Trains Fractions. I think Andrew and I done well on this maths project. I think we could of made the trains a bit more better and add in colors.

Moana Rita Ocean Pearls Weaving
Room 6 was lucky to learn how to weave ocean pearl flowers from harakeke. Ezra's mum Moana and her partner Tom, patiently taught everyone to 'split and tear ' then 'weave back and down' until everyone had created their unique flower . Adhering to the kaupapa , each student gave their first flower to Moana. These flowers will be treated and then will become a koha for the people who attend workshops on the Paihia Village Green . From there, the flowers will travel the world and the cycle of Moana Rita Ocean Pearls will continue.

Aniheras Home Animation
This is my stop motion animation I did at home it’s about 3 monsters the first two hated each other at the start and drowned the small one and they had a little monster talk and became best friends The third monster kinda welcomed them into the house with a wand.
The amazing thing about this for me was that it all started when I asked Tania (our Manaiakalani facilitator) for the recipe for playdough. I wasn’t familiar with cream of tartar so at lunch time she went and bought some for me.
I went home and made some playdough. Then I made this stop motion animation. I showed my family and they thought it was cool.
I think I did the animation well, especially for my first full solo animation.

We did really well at building the cars for the chase.
Next time we need to improve our editing.
ANGRY BIRDS OR IS IT? BY TREMAYNE
I made a video about birds, pigs and eggs. I was learning to use Stop Motion Animation and WeVideo. I think I did well with making the video because it was only my second time. I learnt how to make the background clear and how to make sure you can't see people on the side or hands. Next time I will plan my story first with a storyboard.
Deforming Monsters: By Alazhay,Ryan and Jordan
